Care Instructions

Fabric

  1. Dry Clean - Dry cleaning for all our fabrics is recommended.
  2. Shrinkage - Our fabrics have gone through pre-shrinkage process; a minimum percentage of shrinkage is still possible.
    (The shrinkage range for all our fabrics is within 2 – 3 %, which means that a set of curtains’ height may reduce by 4cm (maximum) after wash. This is within the industry’s standards.
  3. Discolouration - Discolouration of fabrics happens when there is strong direct sunlight on the fabrics for a prolonged period. Discolouration is more evident for strong and bold colors. You must take note of such situation if the windows face the east (rising sun) or west (sun set).

Leather

A proper care is essential to maintain its appearance and prolog its quality

  1. Avoid direct sunlight, heat and sharp object
  2. Blot spills immediately with soft, clean dry and absorbent cloth
  3. Cleaning- Foam cleaning with sponge. Light circular movement, do not scrub. Clean 6-12 times a year for frequent use
  4. Removing spots: Quickly dab in circular motion towards the middle, do not scrub
  5. Protection: Gently rub on Leather Protection Cream in circular movements. Polish after dry, do not scrub. Apply 2-4 times a year

Sofa

  1. Don’t sit on arms of Sofa for prolonged period.
  2. Don’t allow children to jump on Sofa frequently as it would affect the density of foam and spring system.
  3. iii   Don’t spill liquids on Sofa as it may promote bugs.
  4. iv   Rotate reversible cushion regularly
  5. Vacuum regularly using low suction

Sofa fabrics should follow the same care instructions for ‘fabrics’ mentioned above.

Mattress

The below points are recommended to make the mattresses last longer:

  1. Keep mattresses clean by using a mattress protector
  2. Change beddings regular to reduce dust mites
  3. Refrain from jumping or standing on mattresses as it is not designed to support such pressure
  4. Do not bend mattresses more than 25 degrees angle as it will damage the coil system

Warranty

  • Sofa - We offer up to 10 years warranty for Macy Designer sofa. The warranty covers Frame, spring and foam. The warranty does not cover fabric sofa.
  • Mattress –  The warranty covers repairing and spare parts. However, does not cover for fabrics.

Important Notes on Sofa Warranty Coverage

Period of warranty:

  • 5 Years warranty – Macy Basic Sofa and Leather Sofa
  • 7 Years warranty – Macy Signature Sofa
  • 10 Years warranty – Macy Designer Sofa

This warranty covers:

  1. Upholstered sofa/armchair – Sofa frame (5 years, 7 years, 10 years as indicated above)
  2. Upholstered sofa/armchair – Spring (5 years)
  3. Upholstered sofa/armchair – Headrest and armrest mechanism (1 year)

Limitations end exclusions:

This warranty does not cover the followings:

  1. Improper maintenance/use has caused the damage
  2. The damage is caused by use of detergens, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents
  3. As a result of abuse from negligence or accidents (burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scuffs, watermarks, indentations, damage by pets)
  4. The furniture purchased is designated “AS IS” at the time of purchase
  5. If the cause of damage is due to ‘natural characteristics’ of the material used (wrinkling, natural markings such as scars and insect bites or variations in grain or colour)

Other terms and conditions:

  1. Macy reserves the right to udpate or modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice
  2. In the event a warranty service call requires our staff to travel to your residence, a standard transportation charge will be levied
